BABBLE-ON:

What a month! Canada has a new government. Lots of razzle dazzle. Great. Time for a change and change is good. Change spells renewal, movement, action and life. EnThe world is in turmoil. Negative energies rearing their ugly heads. Make sure you know where your thoughts are at. Remember every action is preceded by a thought usually a series of thoughts. Ask yourself if you are a positive or negative force. It is wise thing to build rather than destroy.

 
Trendy Wendy Alert: What is with this “shaming, bullying, offended and culturally misappropriated  word doo-doo...Epidemic?

I think the above whining has been spawned by do-gooders. Mean well, lets all hold hands sops who in the name of good end up suppressing others. In the end we are left with a weak and frail people. It all spells mediocrity.

I love it when I hear someone is "offended" What exactly does that mean for them.  What offends one may not offend another. I think of it as a passive aggressive control tactic. (This type probably thinks they are NICE.

It is very important to not given in to this nonsense. I recall my art teacher in grade 10 telling us kids that there will always be people who like what we are and do and those who think the opposite. There will always be critics. The trick is to not be dissuaded by either camps. Get out there and do your thing.






Recipe of the Month:
Easy Way to Poach Fish
This recipe is simple and fast.
I love using a pan with lid for this recipe.
1 handful of spinach
1/2 yellow onion
tilapia
lemon or lime
fresh ground pepper
Add to the  pan a handful of spinach or chopped Swiss chard plus 1/2 yellow onion slivered and about 1 cup of cold water. Bring to a boil and then put on lower heat and let cook for about 10 minutes with the lid on. Then simply lay a filet or two of tilapia or any other mild fish on top of the spinach and onion and poach for about 5 minutes or until cooked.
You can serve this with rice or noodles.  If you have fresh lime or lemon to perfume the fish all the better.  Fresh ground pepper to your liking. One pan, no grease. I also poach salmon this way.

J adore l automne, le parfun des feuilles, les ciel blue-blue et les couleurs. Quel joie.

J e vais publier mon livre de dicton The Electric Oracle Speaks sur mon site blog en francais pour la premiere fois sous le titre L Oracle Parle. Sa prit du temps avant que je realise que je peut le publier sur mon site blog. Alors voici un dicton.

 

L’Oracle Parle
 

Il existe une solution à chaque problème. Le défi c'est de s'ouvrir à accepter la solution

 
Soupe du Mois

Porc Riz (Recette de docteur Tran…jai interprete la recette a mon gout.

1 paquet de porc mince

1 demi tasse de riz (basmati ou long grain)

6 tasses d eaux

2 petit onion vert (bien mince)

1 tbpl. Sauce soya (a bas sel)

1 the de sauce Worchepstshire                                                                                               A

1 c the de sucre blanc ( coupe l acide)

1 pincer de flaucon chili

Ptit poigner de coriander frais

Un morceaux de citron frais ni

Poivre noire frais

Mettre  l eau dan s une marmite….faire boulir et  ajouter le porc on petit morceaux (pincer avec doight le porc mince) ensuite les onions vert, le sucre blanc et les flaucon chili, soy et ws et laisser mijoter pour 10 mins. Ensuite ajouter le riz et encore laisser la soupe mijouter chaleur bas….

Servir quand pret dans un beau bowl de soupe, un peut de poivre noire, le citron et enfin le coriander mince. 

Cette recette est fascile a preparer, vite et bonne pour la sante.

Autumn is here. What a wonderful season full of color and scents. Bluer skies and make sure you observe the light. What a joy.

I waited until Mercury (planet) was moving forward and out of its retrograde mode to do this posting.  Mercury goes retrograde four times a year for about 3 weeks and when it does you can expect communication static in all your dealings.  Computer problems are the norm or anything to do with electronics for that matter…not a good time to buy big time ticket items either.   Also not a good time to begin anything new that is major in your life or sign a contract.

Soup of the Month:

Miso Delight

This soup is so simple, economical and very tasty. If you want something fast to prepare yet nourishing and healthy this soup recipe is for you. Very economical.

Miso Paste (low sodium) available now in some grocery stores or health stores. I use the blonde miso.  This recipe is for one but obviously can be doubled.

1 big tbsp. of Miso paste

1 ½ cup of water (sometimes I do half water and half chicken broth)

1 green onion finely minced

Pinch of soya sauce low sodium

Pinch of cayenne pepper

Lemon wedge

Bring liquid to a boil (small pot). Dilute paste in a cup…add a little water and mix until smooth and there are no clumps. Add green onions then miso, soy, cayenne and let simmer for about 5 mins.  Pour into a soup bowl and spray lemon on top and voila it is ready to eat.

Thought Responsibility

The power of thought is a force to be reckoned with on a daily basis. Thought is constantly happening and churning in our minds and what we put out is most often ignored. To do so is to demean one of your greatest gifts.

Thought is energy, a living energy. Thoughts become forms if they are nourished or fueled with more thoughts. Thoughts are things that can eventually become manifested in the physical.  Every man made thing  you see around you was once a thought…it was created by thought…first the thought then the action.  Therefore thoughts are very important  The quality of the thought is the thing.

What is critical is to become aware of your thoughts, what you are putting out there  constantly…is it constructive or destructive….positive or negative. Are you spewing poisonous garbage into your environment or sowing healthy thought patterns that will benefit you and others. For instance do you repeatedly think that you are a failure and when you fail at what you do, you may then assume that you are jinxed and not as lucky as others. Meanwhile you put yourself in that mindset by thinking that you were a failure. 

If you can think that you are a failure you can think that you are a success. This will attract positive forces  to you  which will help create your success.  The opposite of course is you attract negative forces that reinforce your negative beliefs. 

I like to think of being thought conscious as something that is fun, a challenge that keeps me on my toes, keeps me alert and conscious of where my thoughts are at.

Delays, Detours and Miscellaneous

Hey, its been awhile getting this blog going with so many delays like moving to a new home...that took a lot more time then I thought it would...like three months total when you add up sorting out "things" and packing....moving and then unpacking and sorting out and this time throwing out and giving so many things I simply don't use...like moving boxes from one storage unit to another and not even knowing what was in the boxes....this went on for approx. 8 years...so this time I checked out what the said contents were hibernating in the mysterious boxers and I realized I did not need this stuff because I had not touched it in nearly a decade....so out it went, it is gone and I don't miss it.

It is a great relief getting rid of the old stuff....the burden is gone.  The interesting thing is even though you don't SEE the STUFF its still there in your life....you are holding onto something...stuff equals emotions something that has not been dealt with in your life....also I have now made room for what I do use in my every day life. NICE.

Looking to get this blog on track and happening by August. Summer is here...its time to be outdoors...get out there and enjoy the summer.

Alas, I am revising my blog site again in order to begin anew. It is time to refresh this site and get it active and happening once again. The blog shares ideas that feed the mind, the soul and the stomach.


WARNING: Soup and Wisdom is not forI the feeble of mind as it is loaded with content, politically incorrect material and totally opinionated in your face ideas.

I will publish new material once a month and feature some of my artwork, recipes and cooking ideas. Also  articles and aphorisms and more.

 If you are wondering why I chose to start anew on this Chinese New Year day it is simply because it felt to be fortuitous and  right to do so...its always best to follow what you feel.


NUMEROLOGY: 2015

The year 2015 adds up to 8...a propitious number in some cultures. It signifies new beginnings, a bringer of good fortune and is a "sow as you reap year". 

This is a good time to clean-up your act in order to make room for the new. Clutter in life inhibits new goodies to flow into your life and simply retards new energies from manifesting in your world. This is not a great year for speculation and investment. Best to lay low and focus on applying yourself in meaningful ways, work quietly and basically do your thing in as positive way as possible.

Eight is also about education, governance, banking and stock markets and MONEY! This is a good year to mind your business and lighten up. Remember, everything in the long run takes care of itself and worrying does not fix things, positive action does. So go ahead and enjoy a fabulous new year. It is a great year for new beginnings.

RECEPIE OF THE MONTH: Lightning Soups.

What are Lightning Soups? They are soups that are quick and easy to prepare, totally economical, healthy and delicious.  The recipes are geared single people but these can easily be adapted to feed more than one mouth....just multiply the ingredients to suit your needs.

I love to use make use of left overs, odds and ends hanging about in the refrigerator. This way I avoid wastage as much as possible. Its good to have stock on hand either store bought (low sodium) or homemade.  Great for soups and other dishes.

Soupe a Mon Oncle:

1 cup of chicken stock (vegetable stock optional)
1 cup of water
2 stalks of Swiss chard (or whatever you have on hand like spinach or beet leaves)
half a yellow onion
one tomato (I love using small green house tomatoes)
fresh ground black pepper
pinch of salt
1 tsp. low sodium soya sauce
1 tbsp. olive oil
a shake or two of Worcestershire sauce


Wash chard and tomato. Cut chard into bite size pieces, cube the tomato and cut the onion into thin slivers.  Add water and broth to a medium size pot and bring to a boil. Then add the chard, the tomato and onion to the liquid and lower to a simmer for 30 mins.

Serve in a soup bowl and drizzle the olive oil over the top and then add freshly ground black pepper. This soup is a bread dunking soup...pita bread or baguette is the best with this.

This soup is delicious and invigorating. Enjoy.

Enfin j'ai revise mon site blog afin de commencer a nouveaux. Le site est plein d'idee qui alimentera votre esprit et estomac.

Je vais publier des nouvelles idees a chaque mois et presenter mes oeuvres d'art, recettes, article, livre et dictons.

Numerologie 2015

 Un petit apercu en numerologie pour l'annee 2015. L'annee se reduit a un huite. Cette annee est un annee de recolte....on a seme pendant sept ans alors maintenant nous recoltons les consequences de nos efforts.

2015 un annee de nouveau commencement, un bon temps pour metre nos affaires en ordre, un bon temps pour se debarasser du superflueux qui retarde notre vie. Un bon pour faire de la place pour le nouveau qui cherche a s'exprimer dans notre dans notre vie.

2015 n'est pas une bonne annee pour la speculation en affaire. Mieux prendre le temps de s'appliquer a faire son affaire, travaillier tranquillement et faire son truc d'une manniere posiitive.

Huite represente l'education, la gouvernance, la bourse, l'ARGENT.



RECETTE EN VEDETTE: Soupe Eclaire


Soupe Eclaire sont vite a preparer, economique et de sante.

Soupe a Mon Oncle


La Soupe a Mon Oncle

1 tasse de bouillion de poulet
1 tasse d'eau
2 tiges de bette a carde (ont peut se server d'epinard ou feuilles de bettraves)
la moitie d'un onion jaune
une petite tomate ou 3 tomate
de serre
poivre noire (Moulin)
pincer de sel11
1 cuillere de soupe d'huile d'olive
1 cuillere a the de sauce soja (faible en sodium)
une coupe de gouttes de sauce Worchesershire

Lavez les legumes et couper en petit morceaux...couper l'onion en lisiere fine et ajouter le tout dans le pot avec l'eau et le bouillion. Portez le liquide a l'ebullition, ensuite laisser mijoter pendant environ 30 minutes.

Servir la soupe dans un bol de soupe, aroser la soupe avec l'huile d'olive, ajouter le poivre et voila vous pouvez bouffer. Cette soupe aime le pain trempe...pain pita ou baguette. Bon apetit.
